 Butterfly is an insert.It has four legs.It has no bones.Butterfly has the teeth.It has two pairs of wings.The wings of the butterfly are very beautiful.There are eyes all over the wings.Butterfly is a harmless animal.It collects nectar from flowers That is this food.Butterflies are mully coloured.They look like flowers.Butterflies are becoming less and lessin number every yesr.They are extincting insects.we must protect those harmless beautiful butterflies.moths are ofter mistuken to be butterfiles.

       trees are very help ful forus.Those are a component of our envir onment.otpers are animals.water and air Trees give us wood.Those give us foods.Those give us medicine.Tress enrich the soil.and Heep the soil woist.soil errosion is prvente by roots.without thees.there is no survival for the environment.

   Chess is a game which is good for our brain.It is an ancient game which is beliered to have orginated in India.I is the national game of Russia.the best “chess”players are called grand masters.The present world chess champ is in Russia.There are Indivia dual tournament as well as theam tournament there are seven players in a chess.tame But in some tournaments0 it can be five players.The time duration of a roun is four hours.Ther can be rounds in a tournament.The tournament is Judged by an arbiler.

Vilage temple

           

My village is Nikawewa.There is a temple.It is in the middle of the village.There is a big tank.below it.The temple premises is Brage.There is a Bo-tree in there.There is a starc. There is a  Sermon hall.People com to the village’s temple.They worship in there most of them observe sill on full moon poya days.they are maditated.my vilage temple is a holy place.A few monks live it.

My Brithday

       

 My birthday is 10th December 1992.Mother has made cake.my friend have come.we are going to celbrate my brithday.I cut the brithday cake.All of tham sang”Happ brithday…………”we ate cakes.wa drank orange Juice.we ate sweets and chocolates.All geve presents to me.I thanked them.we sang songs.we danced.we played games.I was very happy.mother gave me presents.Friend gave me prerents,too.Father gave me presents too.   

SINHARAJA RAINFOREST

          

The sinharaja forest is only undisturbed leff in srilanka.It is about  9000 hectares in extent many of  the plants are end of the very rare.over leading 60% of the tree species are found only in the lowland wet zone of sri lanka.If these species of trees are allowed to get destroyed,the world would lose them altogether.so it is important that much effort is made to  conserve this rich,valuable and fragile habitat.

                                                                                                                        The sinharaja rainforest is the largest rain forest  reserve in srilanka.In 1840 sinharaja became a crown prpperty.In 1988 the sinharaja was made  a national wildernes area.In 1989 UNESCO included the sinharaja forest in the world Heritage list,as the flrst national Heritage of sri lanka.

         The sinharaja forest  is home to many rare animals,birds,butterflies,inseots,reptiles and trees.ferns and mosses grow.well as the climade is humid because of heavy rainfail.

My faivorit Television Program

My faivorit Television is porgam Danumia wasanawai.It is telecast every thirsday at 6.30 p.m.Tt is very useful of my life.Itake many item of this Program on my education.on this program three parts.first time ask the quaitions.second time do the speech useful to the society.third time agan ask the quaitions.on this program very useful.for me becous,I siwt O/L examat next year.

Im portance of Learning English

     

Frist foremostiy l would Like to extend my sincere thanks to the committee members of the English Literarg  Association for giving me opportuity.if really speaking English languge is no longer a moropoly of the English people.Even in the European community it has become the predominant lanyguge.more then 75% of the short messages and ordinary telephone calis are made in English.A bove all,Internet access can be  made only through English this acts as the cord that binds the man and the whole universe.Alory with this Globa lization it is a must.can we merye with the global village without Knowing an interrationl language?It’s impossible .It’s a pity some they hove a probia towards this great assert .I think It’s easy to learn and write,if we have the need to catchit.as we know in gavernment schools English is taught only as a second langaye.This has been done since forty years or so.But i feel so sorry,the number of citizens who can speak English well,is very few by teching English for forty mirutes per day is not sufficient to get a thorough know ledge.if we can make a better envirornment for the child to learn this,I think it would be more successful.Ang way,were lucky that the gaovernment has already implemmes to sustain the languge among school.

                                                                                                      the idea behind this is to make the children to different ethnic groups to study together,using a single language .this does not mean that we are going to give up our national language.Even the great leaders of f days studied in English.If reaily speking now this has become the first runy of the ladder,where the communication is conerred.English Languge is the only torch that  dispels the gloom of the higher edcation.                      

Tsunami

 

 

Very few people in this country knew what a Tsunamie was,before Dccember26,2004.the Tsunami devastated the coastal srea of the Narthern,Eeaster,Southern and westem Regions of our country .It left thousands of Pepole homeless,dead or disabled,and billions of rupees worth of property desfroyed.Thousand of people lost their homes ,children were leef without their parents were leff without their children.the fis hermen suffered most ,their houses,boafs and fishing gear were desfroyed.There were insfances of enfire familles being wiped out by the Tsunami.our great neigh bour India was the first to come to our assistance.Then follaed u.s.a,England,France,Germany,Italy,China,Palustan and many a ther countries.The world bank has also exqtended its assistance to our countre.If is said that sri Lanka has received the largest amount of assistance.          

My family

          I have four mambers  in my family.we are liveing at moragollagama.My father is a salesman.He is sales Textilesitems.My father name is Lalantha prithisiri.my Mather nameb is Lalitha pathmeni.she is working in ganment factory.she is very kind.I have one borther.His name is Chanuka jayavimana.He is student in Nikawewa centerl college,grade five.my grand mather and grand father allso living with us.we are very happy in our family.I am a elder son our family.I have good hope for my family.
